Ethno-cultural mandate or ethno-cultural casting statement:
fu-GEN is a charitable theatre company dedicated to the development of professional Asian Canadian theatre artists through the production of new and established works.

Synopsis:
Three young men disguised as Bruce Lee, Charlie Chan and Fu Manchu explode Asian male stereotypes in a vibrant theatrical symposium. Issues of race, gender and sex collide as the Brown Balls Collective (or BBC) embarks upon an honest, unapologetic, and hilarious exposé of the Asian male in a Western context.

Character Description:
Bruce is honest and speaks his mind. He doesn't censor his thoughts and what he thinks, he says, unapologetically. What he lacks in sophistication, he makes up with gusto. He is an extrovert and a ladies man. The linebacker of the trio, Bruce is more brute strength than finesse.

Only those actors selected to audition will be contacted. Sides will be emailed out when you have received an audition time. Copies of the script will be available to read at the fu-GEN office during regular work hours.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the audition.
