The Theatre Program at Sir Grenfell Campus, Memorial University of
Newfoundland invites applications for two tenure-track appointments for
its Acting Stream at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful
candidates will possess an MFA (Theatre) degree, or the equivalent
combination of professional experience, education and training. The
successful candidates must demonstrate a breadth of significant
professional theatrical experience in directing as well as having taught
at the undergraduate level. The teaching responsibilities will include
teaching acting courses across the four years of an undergraduate (BFA)
theatre program and directing program productions. The ability to teach
one or more of the following would be an asset: first year course in
Theatre History, Voice and/or Movement. The successful candidates must
also demonstrate the ability to contribute to the growth and development
of the Theatre Program, forge links with other programs and participate
in academic service. The candidates must also possess the potential for
significant research/creative activity and growth.
