Eastern Front theatre welcomes submissions for this role from actors of
all ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

Additional information:
Auditions for the role of Nehrjas Al Saffarh to be held in Toronto on
September 23rd, 2010. 

If you have already responded to our original call for submissions,
there is no need to re-submit.

Nehrjas al Saffarh is "a beautiful, but haunted Iraqi woman in her
forties.  She is a woman who has a strong buoyant spirit but she has
suffered immeasurably."

Three searing monologues make up Judith Thompson's award winning Palace
of the End: a shockingly funny portrayal of the soldier who took the
fall for the Abu Ghraib prison scandal; the dying reflections of the
weapons inspector who blew the whistle on government justifications for
the invasion of Iraq; a tea party with Nehrjas Al Saffarh, a mother and
political leader who suffered unfathomable loss at the hands of Saddam
Hussein.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
