Roles:

Danny - Adult actor to play a ten year old boy.  Danny has moved more
times than kids lose teeth. 

Angelo -  Adult actor to play 10 yr old (Italian or visible minority
preferred) boy.  Italian or visible minority preferred.  

Penelope - Adult actress to play a precocious 10 yr old (Black or Asian)
girl. Black/Asian.

Louise - Danny's Mom.  Age 30-35.  Louise has a big heart but bad taste
in men.  She loves her son.

Rehearsals and Tour:  Monday, September 5 (Labour Day) - September 25,
2011.  The play opens September 26 and runs until December 18th.
Passport required.

The Play:  "Danny, King of the Basement" is the story of Danny 'Delco'
Carter, a ten year old boy who has lost more homes than teeth.  As the
play begins, Danny moves into a basement apartment with his mother
Louise, his eighth home (and school) in two years. 

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the
audition.
