Lecturer/Assistant Professor, Music (Applied Voice) - August 1, 2011 to
May 31, 2012

The Department of Music at Dalhousie University invites applications for
a 10-month full-time limited term appointment in Music (Applied Voice)
at the Lecturer/ Assistant Professor level, effective August 1, 2011.
The position is subject to budgetary approval.  The successful
candidate's duties may include, but not be limited to, teaching
undergraduate voice students; courses in vocal pedagogy or vocal
literature; directing or coaching the Opera Workshop; sharing in
departmental responsibilities; and performing in department events
including the Faculty Chamber Series.

Additional information:

The successful candidate will have a DMA, or an M.Mus. and equivalent
professional experience, a strong commitment to excellence and proven
record of successful voice teaching at the university level, and proven
artistry as a performer.  Baritone, tenor or bass preferred.

Applications, including a curriculum vitae, a statement of teaching and
research interests, three confidential letters of reference forwarded
under separate cover from the referees, a recent recording of a variety
of repertoire, and evidence of teaching effectiveness (a teaching video
and/or formal course evaluations), should be sent in hard copy to Prof.
