Thousand Islands Playhouse has an employment opportunity for 2 Theatre
Technicians. (House Techs)
This is an exciting, fast-paced, dynamic position. It demands strong
organizational skills, flexibility, ingenuity, and good humour.

These contract positions are full-time seasonal; one begins in late
April lasting until November 3. The other starts in June and finishes at
the end of August.

Reporting to the Production Manager, Theatre Technicians will be
responsible for load-in, setup and maintenance of lighting and sound
equipment, as well as day to day operation during performances.  The
successful candidate must be able to work as part of a team to complete
work as scheduled while maintaining a clean, safe working environment.
Initiative, problem solving skills, and the ability to think on your
feet are definite assets. Ability to run Strand lighting boards an
asset. Ability to program and run SCS an asset.

The candidate will perform all show calls, lighting, sound and video
load-ins and setups, and be responsible for a "user-friendly" storage
and inventory of tools and equipment.

Preference will be given to candidates graduating from a University or
College theatre program or equivalent experience in their field working
in the industry.
