Ethno-cultural mandate or ethno-cultural casting statement: The Firehall
Arts Centre is an inclusive employer and artists from all ethno-cultural
and First Nations backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Additional information: The Firehall Arts Centre is calling for
submissions from Actors/Singers/Dancers for auditions for our production
of CHELSEA HOTEL - the words and music of Leonard Cohen.  Conceived and
directed by Tracey Power, with Artistic Direction by Donna Spencer and
Musical Direction by Steve Charles,  Chelsea Hotel is a new work that
will be created with the strengths of the cast in mind. We are looking
for some performers that can also play instruments so please mention in
your cover letter what instrument(s) you play and at what level.  The
roles are 3 Females and 2 Males who are Strong Singers with
dance/movement skills.  The production dates are mid-January 2012 to
March 3/2012. Interested applicants are requested to submit their
headshot and resume with a short cover letter by email to
firehall at firehallartscentre.ca. Selected applicants will be asked to
present a song of their choice as well as a song by Leonard Cohen and
may be asked to participate in a movement call.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the
audition.
