Additional information:
Re:Union is a co-production between Pacific Theatre and Horseshoes &
Hand Grenades Theatre.
Re:Union is based on real events that took place in Washington DC in
1965, when a Quaker named Norman Morrison set himself on fire below the
Pentagon window of Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara to protest the
escalating Vietnam War. Morrison did this with his one year-old daughter
Emily in his arms, who escaped unharmed. Re:Union takes place both in
1965 and 2001, when an adult Emily returns to Washington in the
aftermath of 9/11.
We are seeking experienced performers for the following roles:
Norman Morrison (30 - 35): An American Quaker who self-immolated in 1965
to protest the Vietnam War.
Robert McNamara (45 - 85): The former US Secretary of Defense. Note:
McNamara is seen both in 1965 and 2001, thus the age range.
Please send headshots and resume via email only. Selected actors will be
sent sides and may be asked to present a suitable contemporary
monologue.
Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
