Additional information: Actors wanted for a workshop presentation of
Thomas Raddall's The Nymph and the Lamp to be presented in Halifax from
June 10 - 12, 2011. Adapted by Graham Percy and directed by Alexis
Milligan, rehearsals begin Tuesday, May 31st.
Thomas Raddall's classic novel is a landmark of Nova Scotian literature.
It tells the story of an unlikely love affair set on the wild and windy
shores of Marina, (a thinly disguised Sable Island). First published in
1950, it quickly became one of Canada's best known novels. This will be
its first stage adaptation.
We are looking for strong collaborators, willing to work physically, and
comfortable exploring an original musical score composed by Dinuk
Wijeratne.
Auditions will take place April 20 at DANSpace-on-Grafton, 1531 Grafton
Street, 3rd Floor.
These will be group auditions. Please wear comfortable clothing you can
move in. Sides from the show will be sent once your time has been
confirmed.

Auditions" in the subject line.
Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the
