The Arts Club Theatre is accepting resumes for its production of  THE
PENELOPIAD  By Margaret Atwood, directed by Vanessa Porteous.

We  are looking for 10 female actors of diverse ages, ethnicities and
physical types to play the maids and all other roles in the piece.
Musical ability is an asset, including the ability to sing in harmony
and learn songs by ear.  The performers should also be comfortable with
creative movement.  We are also seeking some performers who can play
instruments (violin, guitar, penny whistle...), so please let us know in
your cover letter if you play an instrument.

Those selected for an audition will be asked to prepare scenes from the
show, and possibly to sing an excerpt of a song of their choosing. No
accompanist will be provided.

Resumes will be accepted until the end of business on Monday, May 16,
2011.   Please do not send resumes via fax or email.    Reading copies
of THE PENELOPIAD are available at the Arts Club.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the
audition.
