Audition Notice

About Hamlet 2011: Audiences are standing and cheering at the end of
every show.  The OSC's director Charles McFarland's decision to focus on
entertaining theatergoers with an edgy, contemporary, with-it
interpretation of the quintessential tragedy by William Shakespeare
resonates with audiences.  They delight in seeing this play taken out of
its traditional context and restyled in look and feel.  The words are
the bard's but within the modern context, their meaning jumps out and is
clear to a 21st century crowd.
  
The Ottawa Shakespeare Company is currently accepting submissions for
its next project; details to follow.  Artists who have not worked with
the Ottawa Shakespeare Company are encouraged to submit their resume and
headshot for consideration.

Please be prepared to present two contrasting Shakespearean pieces, one
of which must be in verse.  Having prepared a contemporary piece is also
highly recommended.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
