Angelwalk Theatre is looking for 3 males and 3 females for its March-April, 2012 production of I Love You Because.

Character Breakdown:

AUSTIN BENNET (25 - early 30's; tenor to A): Greeting card writer.  Excellent singing actor.  Attractive, conventional leading man, romantic.  Described as "tight assed, stuffed shirt, pencil pushing, Republican."  A Ryan Gosling type.

JEFF BENNET (late 20's-35; baritone to G [optional A]): Pedi-cab driver.  Excellent singer, great comic timing.  A perpetual bachelor, Jeff is not the brightest.  A Matt LeBlanc type.

MARCY FITZWILLIAMS (25 - early 30's; soprano, strong mix to F, belt to D): Photographer. Excellent singing actor.  Romantic, attractive leading lady, with slightly quirky sensibility.  Described as "Flighty, flakey, liberal artsy, fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants, tofu loving, floozy."  A Zooey Deschanel type.

DIANA BINGLEY (late 20's-35; alto to D): Actuary.  Excellent singer, great comic timing, Practical and all business.  The wisecracking best friend to Marcy.  An Emma Stone type.

NYC WOMAN (30's to 45; soprano): Character Actor, Great Singer, doubles as COCKTAIL WAITRESS, BARISTRESS, NEIGHBOUR, CHINESE FOOD RESTAURANT MANAGER,

NYC MAN (30's to 45;bari-tenor): Character Actor, Great Singer, doubles as BARTENDER, BARISTA, WAITER, CHINESE FOOD RESTAURANT WAITER

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the audition.
