The British Columbia Government's Finance Committee has announced province-wide budget consultations. This is an opportunity for artists and arts workers to weigh in on how the B.C. Government allocates public money in the upcoming provincial budget.  
 
Equity members are urged take part in the budget consultation process and let the government know your priorities for BC. The government's budget consultation paper contains a series of questions asking British Columbians to state their priorities for the 2012 budget (http://www.fin.gov.bc.ca/budgetconsultation/english2012.pdf).

You may provide your responses to these questions by sending a written or video submission. The online written submission form is available at: https://www.leg.bc.ca/budgetconsultations/submission.asp

The Government has also prepared an online survey regarding the budget questions. The online survey is available at: https://www.leg.bc.ca/budgetconsultations/survey.asp

The deadline for public input is Friday, October 14, and the Committee will release its report by Tuesday, November 15.
