for NEXT TO NORMAL, music by Tom Kitt, book and lyrics by Brian Yorkey.

AUDITION DATES: Thurs April 12, Friday April 13, Tuesday April 17 and
Wednesday April 18, 2012

Rehearsals begin: May 2012

Performances: June 6 - June 17, 2012 at the Tarragon Theatre

This is a paid opportunity with an Independent Company.  Equity members
will be engaged under an Equity form of contract.

We welcome submissions from strong singer/actors.

Those invited to audition are asked to familiarize themselves with the
show and music.

CHARACTERS:

DAN: Diana's husband, Gabe's father. Handsome, genuine, constant, tired.
30s-40s. B3-B5

DIANA: sexy, sharp, delusional bipolar depressive. 30s-40s.
E3-F5

DR MADDEN: on the young side of ageless, assured; a rock star; the actor
also plays Doctor Fine, a psychopharmacologist.
A3-G5

GABE: Dashing, gentle, bright, playful. Everything a mother, etc.
Almost eighteen.  A3-B5

HENRY: Musician, romantic, stoner, slacker, philosopher king. Seventeen.
A3-B5

NATALIE: Diana's daughter, sixteen and trying to be perfect. It's not
going well. G3-F5
