Odyssey Theatre, Ottawa's premiere professional mask summer theatre, is
offering a twenty-four week (January 23  July 6, 2012) full-time
Marketing Officer contract.

Odyssey Theatre is a dynamic, award-winning company that runs a
successful open-air theatre in Strathcona Park. Our company produces a
unique style of theatre that successfully blends various theatrical
forms, including such arts as Commedia dell'Arte, mask, physical theatre
and clown. We are currently celebrating our 26th season.

Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will be
responsible for assisting with the development of, and implementing,
strategies in the areas of marketing, publicity and media relations,
related to our 26th season. Job description includes, but is not limited
to securing co-promotional partnerships, promoting and selling Youth
Matinee performances, enlisting our events on e- and print publications
and maintaining a social media campaign.

The successful candidate must have excellent oral and written
communication skills, initiative, strong organizational skills (capacity
to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment), some
experience in public relations, marketing or publicity in a related
field and understanding of the essential dynamics of a non-profit arts
organization, and demonstrated proficiency using MS Office products. 

Weekly fee for this position is $435.
