SOLO COLLECTIVE THEATRE in partnership with the VANCOUVER PLAYHOUSE THEATRE COMPANY, invites you to enter the eighth-annual EMERGING PLAYWRIGHTS’ COMPETITION. 

*Every competition entrant will receive written feedback from two of the judges*

Please MAIL your properly formatted submission on or before February 3, 2012 to:

Submission Requirements:

→ typed, double-spaced WITH page numbers

→ a title page with your name and contact info (including email address) and word count of the submission - do NOT put your name any subsequent pages

→ max. length 1250 words for monologues, and 2200 words for dual character scenes

→ $30 Submission fee plus $5 membership fee (cheques only, made out to Solo Collective Theatre Society)

→ the monologues or scenes should be self-contained.  Any scenes that have more than two characters will NOT be considered.

Three winners will be announced in late March, and will receive: → a two-hour workshop with a professional actor and a dramaturge → a public reading by professional actors at SOLO FLIGHTS Showcase → a profile on Solo Collective’s website, and other promotion through Solo Collective Theatre and the Vancouver Playhouse
