Persephone Theatre is accepting submissions from actors for the 2013 Youth Tour.  This is a provincial TYA school tour which begins rehearsals Feb 1 2013 and closes Apr 26 2013.  This is a rep tour with a high school production of Cope, a new hip hop based show by Greg Ochitwa and Bluenose by Emil Sher.
 
With preference for a prairie artist, we are looking for an actor to perform the DJ in Cope as well as one of the roles in Bluenose. Cope requires an actor who is familiar with the art of DJ'ing/Scratching Vinyl.  Likely a constant feature in the show, scratching and mixing tracks, providing a live score.  Strong sense of music and either DJ experience or ability to learn it.  Any background in hip-hop is a plus. Bluenose (same actor) requires a physically quick and creative artist with a great sense of play.
 
No auditions are currently scheduled and will be arranged as necessary.
 
Gender and age of roles are flexible.
