ROLES TO BE CAST

Natasha 18-25. Andre's wife. Chinese. Born in the garrison town in 1918.
Small, ambitious, self educated, former housekeeper's helper. She wants
what is best for her growing family.

Masha 18-25. Born in Moscow 1912. Arrived in China at age 8. A plain
woman. She is a teacher in the village school established by her mother
to "bring civilization to the next generation". She is the elder sister
and the only one who earns a living in the family.

Irena 18-25. Born in Moscow 1914. Arrived in China at age 6. A beautiful
young woman. Home schooled by her mother to appreciate the arts. She
wants to become an actress in Moscow.

Anfisa 60+. Born in Moscow 1864. Arrived in China 1920. Has been
employed by the Protopov's ever since Mrs. Protopov married the General.
She is the house-keeper and former nurse.

Captain Wong 26. Chinese. Role has been cast.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS:  June 13, 2012.

If you are selected for an audition, you will be contacted sometime
prior to June 18, 2012.

Rehearsals begin January 2013 and the run is from February 1-16, 2013 at
the Gateway Theatre. Sarah Rodgers is the director.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the
audition.
