Assistant Stage Manager

Pacific Opera Victoria (POV) is seeking an Assistant Stage Manager to
join its production team for the 2012-2013 Season. The successful
applicant will be joining a resident production and stage management
team in a vibrant and dynamic company that produces a diverse repertoire
through innovative original productions.

The position includes three engagements:

Macbeth (Verdi): September 7 to October 15, 2012
Albert Herring (Britten): January 11 to February 18, 2013
Tosca (Puccini): March 8 to April 16, 2013

The ideal candidate will have confidence in stage management systems, be
proficient in reading music, and demonstrate key leadership and
organizational skills in an Equity, AFM and IATSE working environment.
Applicants should have experience working in opera or musical theatre,
and be a team player who demonstrates a keen interest in building
positive relationships with artists, production and music staff.

This position shall be engaged under the auspices of The Opera
Agreement, Canadian Actors' Equity Association, and salary commensurate
with Point of Origin minimum fees.
