Additional information:
Reporting to the Manager of Development, the Member & Event Coordinator
performs membership administration and event planning duties for the
Development Department. The hours of this position are flexible to suit
the event schedule, with the majority of the time being 9am - 5pm Monday
- Friday. A comprehensive benefits package is offered upon completion of
a probationary period. Gateway Theatre is a not-for-profit registered
charity committed to employment equity.
DUTIES:
* Administration of memberships
* Coordination of special events and delivery of sponsorship benefits
* Identify and request in-kind donations
* Assist Manager of Development with campaigns and duties of the
department
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a mature, reliable and friendly individual who:
* Is a team player, self-directed independent worker
* Has knowledge and experience with event planning and/or coordination
* Is able to work on a variety of projects simultaneously
* Has superior communication skills (verbal and written)
* Is computer literate
* Enjoys and excels at delivering exceptional customer service
* Holds a valid BC Driver's License (vehicle required)
* Education: Completion of post-secondary education is flexible,
although graduate of related field (marketing/fundraising) is an asset
