The position is full-time with benefits. Hours are 9 AM to 5 PM with
some overtime. Must have flexible availability including occasional
evenings & week-ends. Pay is $15./hr.  Work location is Gateway Theatre
Administration office.

Additional information:
Working closely with the Communications Manager, the successful
candidate will plan and execute publicity and social media campaigns,
coordinate Opening Nights, and provide writing, editing and proofreading
services for the company.

The Coordinator is detail-oriented, a creative problem solver, able to
work independently on multiple projects in an open-office environment.

Qualifications:
- exceptional writing/editing/proofreading/oral communication skills
- proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word
- experience managing multiple social media platforms
- experience or training as a publicist

Bonus points for:
- knowledge of City of Richmond demographics, geography
- experience in the theatre industry
- knowledge of Theatre Manager, Constant Contact, InDesign
- additional language skills

DUTIES:
- Write/edit/proofread/disseminate company information via press
releases, web content, social media
- Coordinate media interest, ensure regular contact with target media,
provide appropriate responses to media requests
- Ensure compliance with union agreements, rights holder contracts
- Plan,execute photo and video shoots
- Prepare, distribute Opening Night invitations, book seats, prepare and
distribute tickets
- Track and post Gateway related news items; prepare publicity packages
- Maintain internet event listings
- Represent Gateway at community events
- Mentor, train and monitor student interns
- Assist with vacation relief/support
- Other duties as required
