Additional information: SMILE THEATRE GENERAL AUDITIONS

Smile is interested in meeting performers whose work may be unfamiliar
to the company, to cast roles remaining in the season as well as for
future productions.  We are also interested in meeting performers with
advanced piano or guitar skills, confident acting/singing and
accompanying live in performance.
Auditions will be scheduled in early October.

If you are interested in working with Smile Theatre, and Artistic
Director Jim Betts is familiar with your work, please feel free to
indicate your interest.  You may not be scheduled for an audition at
this time.

Smile tours professional theatre performances to seniors' facilities,
nursing homes and community centres, and works under the ITA, very
similar to a TYA contract.  We encourage interested performers to read
all about Smile on our website at www.smiletheatre.com. 

Additional information about the season:
"Fireside Songs (Remembering 1954)" is an hour-long concert show,
featuring the songs and performers of 1954 and holiday favourites.
November through December 2012

"The Legend of Dan McGrew" is a new musical by Artistic Director Jim
Betts, based on the poetry of Robert Service.
January through March 2013

"Extraordinary" is a remount of a favourite Smile show, is a celebration
of the extraordinary life of an ordinary woman, the mother of Artistic
Director Jim Betts, written for her 90th birthday.
April through June 2013

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
