2013-2016 CANADIAN OPERA AGREEMENT NOW RATIFIED

The recently negotiated CANADIAN OPERA AGREEMENT with the Canadian Opera
Company was ratified by the eligible Equity membership in a ballot count
held today.
 
Members voted 98.4% in support of the proposed changes. The voting
return rate on ballots mailed was 32.3%.

The ratified changes retroactively take effect as of July 1st, 2013, and
the Agreement extends to June 30, 2016. 

Copies of the new Agreement will be available on EQUITYONLINE
(http://www.caea.com) and in hard copy as soon as updating and printing
allows.
