Corpus is set simultaneously in Contemporary Toronto and World War II Auschwitz- it interrogates our relationship with the past, atrocity and memory. Why are we so obsessed with dark histories?

CHARACTERS

Heinrich Woolf: 20's. An East German squeegee punk and cyber genius.  Heinrich is equally obsessed with genocide as Megan. He is charming, honest and sexy.

Eva Woolf: 80's. A frail, but proud German woman, suffering from dementia.  

Eva Reiniger: 20's. The wife of an SS officer living in Auschwitz. She is vain and confident but suffering from depression.

Eli Kaplan: late 20's to early 30's. A Polish Sonderkomando in Auschwitz. Traumatized and proud.

*Please note that the roles of Megan and Homer have been cast.

Auditions will be by appointment December 6-15 for actors whose work is not familiar to Bronwyn and Darrah. Actors will read from the script and may also be asked to perform a 1-2 minute contemporary monologue.

Actors must be available for a workshop January 24-27th.

Rehearsals begin April 14.

Performances run May 1 - 11, 2014.

Equity members will be engaged under an Equity form of contract.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the audition.
