NICK CARRAWAY: Midwestern newcomer to NYC; about 30
DAISY BUCHANAN: Nick's cousin and contemporary; compelling centre of
attention; high class
TOM BUCHANAN: Daisy's husband; contemporary of Nick's at Yale;
millionaire sportsman and playboy; bullish and arrogant
JORDAN BAKER: Daisy's friend; New York socialite; golf champion;
emancipated and self-assured
JAY GATSBY: in love with Daisy; from a poor family but is rich;
charming, dangerously sexy and romantic
GEORGE B WILSON: blue-collar garage owner; worn by life with little
ambition; married to Myrtle
MYRTLE WILSON: George's wife and Tom's mistress; voluptuous and sexy;
lower class
CHESTER MCKEE: artist in NYC; has airs and an effeminate way about him
MEYER WOLFSHEIM: shady New York businessman; an elderly Broadway
character; seedy but classy
ENSEMBLE (2 MEN + 2 WOMEN): strong actor/dancer; wild during the party
scenes; of the Jazz/Flapper period

*The auditions for the specific characters will consist of scene work
(sides supplied). The Ensemble auditions will consist of some improv
exercises and a dance call.

members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
