Ethno-cultural mandate or ethno-cultural casting statement:
Focus on visible minorities. Any CAEA who identifies as a mother, all
ages, all ethnicities welcomed.

Additional information:
Bring headshot, resume. Prepare two - 2 minute monologues: both you have
written. Looking for 6 CAEA members who can play the roles of mothers
and who can WRITE using their own experiences. A new play being
developed, workshops begin in February. Premiere of the outline May 9 -
19 at Springworks Festival. Potential to develop further. Availability
weeknights and May 9 - 19 a must.

One baby. Moms from around the world. Each mother shares her unique
experience of raising Jed as the baby grows from preconception to
leaving home. Each mother is judged from back stage (by the other
mothers) because of her particular ways of bringing up this baby.
Abortion, infertility, overwhelming joy, any and all aspects of
motherhood will be explored. Play seeks to break down cultural barriers.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the
audition.
