SubDevision is is a celebration of site-specific, innovative, boundary-pushing theatre; devised for and taking place within different subdivided spaces within one alternative venue.

SubDevision has been invited to be a part of the Encounters Series at the 2013 Magnetic North Theatre Festival in Ottawa. We are seeking applications from Ontario based artists and companies.

Participants will create and perform an original, site-specific piece of no more than 15 minutes over three nights (June 12-14, 2013) during Magnetic North. SubDevision participants will be paid a presenting fee, and must be available to travel to Ottawa April 6-7th 2013.

Companies and artists who wish to be considered for SubDevision are invited to submit the following materials by Friday, February 8, 2013 at 5:00 pm. 

1. Letter describing how site specific work relates to or broadens your current artistic practice

2. Sample of your work - either video (preferred) or performance treatment/script.

3. List of participating artists and biographies/CVs of lead artists/company

4. Additional support material (optional)

Applications will be accepted in electronic format only. Please send all written materials in a single PDF file, and provide links to video-sharing sites where archival or promotional recordings can viewed.
