As part of the Music Series, Musical Works in Concert will be going into its 4th season in 2013.  Musical Works provides a platform for Canadian writers and composers to help develop and present original music theatre.  The dates for this year's Musical Works in Concert will be Sunday, August 11th, and Monday, August 12th, 2013.

To date, Musical Works has presented eight original Canadian musical works: Romeo
Candido and Carmen 's Prison Dancer, Logan Medland's Joni Loves Mitchell, Bram Gielen's Biggish Kids, Tom Bellman and Barbara Nichol's The Sparrow Songs, Sam Sholdice's Program, Jay Turvey and Paul Sportelli's Oracle, Scott Christian and Daniel Cummings' Through The Gates and Barbara Johnston and Anika Johnson's Blood Ties. 

The focus of these evenings is to showcase new pieces by artists working with both
traditional and non-traditional musical theatre models.  The series offers artists a
space to have their work presented in a stripped-down concert format in front of an
audience.
