Persephone Theatre is inviting submissions for our main stage production of Strawberries in January:
Francois, a bartender/screenwriter, loves Sophie, Sophie loves Francois, but neither will admit it.  Sophie is looking for Mr. Right.  Robert could be Mr. Right, but he has a secret he knows and one he doesn't.  Lea is searching for her childhood friend Sophie, unaware that someone she once shared a night of passion with is also in town.  Love, coincidence, and seductive comedy make for an irresistible combination in this charming love story for the romantically challenged.  We are accepting submissions for all four roles with a focus on Saskatchewan actors:

LEA, Age:  Late thirties
ROBERT, Age: Early forties
SOPHIE, Age: Late twenties, early thirties
FRANCOIS, Age: Late twenties, early thirties.

Auditions will be held in Saskatoon on August 8 & 9, 2013.  Contract dates are December 27, 2013 through to February 9, 2014.  

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the audition.
