Additional information:
Blackbird Theatre will present Chekhov's Uncle Vanya at The Cultch's 200+ seat Historic Theatre, in a new translation prepared for the company.  Rehearsal begins Nov. 26. The play runs till Jan. 18, with a possible holdover to Jan. 26.

Serebryakov - a retired professor (70's)
Yelena - his young wife (late 20's)
Sonya - his daughter by his first marriage (18 - 22)
Madam Voynitsky - widowed mother of the professor's first wife (late 60's/early 70's)
Vanya - her son (late 40's/early 50's)
Astrov - a doctor (40's)
Telegin - an impoverished landowner (50's - skilled guitar player)
Marina - old nurse (70's/80's)

Auditions will be held in Vancouver on Mar. 24 and 25.  Please send head shots and resumes by email only to ad at blackbirdtheatre.ca.
