Equity Showcase Theatre and The Cayle Chernin Memorial Fund are
extremely pleased to announce THE CAYLE CHERNIN AWARD.

Celebrating the life of performing artist / filmmaker  Cayle Chernin
(1947- 2011)

The award is intended to support an emerging or transitioning female
artist's creation, development or production of a new work.

The Cayle Chernin Award is a $1000.00 cash prize that will be presented
annually to a Canadian female in the performing arts, alternating yearly
between film and theatre.

The Cayle Chernin Award is made possible by the generosity of Cayle's
loving and supportive colleagues, friends and family. This award honours
the creative energy and nurturing spirit of actress/documentary
filmmaker Cayle Chernin who was hard-wired to tell stories.
