Playwrights' Guild of Canada will host its first Director/Playwright Exchange on Monday January 20th, 2014, from 6-8PM in the Board Room at the Playwrights' Guild Office, 401 Richmond, Suite 350. 10 directors and 10 playwrights will attend. All participants will have an opportunity to talk briefly about what kind of work inspires them and how they like to collaborate. The Director/Playwright Exchange is a new initiative by Playwrights Guild of Canada inspired by the Dramatist Guild of America. 

Roland Tec, Director of Membership of Dramatists Guild of America will facilitate the event on January 20th.

Interested directors should submit TWO paragraphs (no longer than 250 words each). The first should be a brief Bio, outlining your professional accomplishments to date.

The second should be a personal Statement of Purpose, sharing your own artistic passions. This should be written in the
first-person and should offer a window into your unique artistic point of view. Why you are a director? What sort of work excites you? etc. etc.

Participation is strictly limited to no more than 10 directors and will be considered on a first-come first-served basis.
