Rainbow Stage's Music Theatre Conservatory is passionately dedicated to the training and development of Canadian musical theatre artists. The Creative Mentorship Programs provide emerging and mid-career theatre artists essential, hands on work experience in a professional environment and a deeper understanding of professional practices by working with some of the brightest creative visionaries from the Manitoban, Canadian, and international musical theatre arts community.
In order to be considered, you must have been actively pursuing a professional career in theatre for at least seven years and have a minimum of one creative team credit (directing, choreographing or music directing). Having an education in theatre, or equivalent experience at the community or professional level is essential to the program. Additionally, you must be a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant and Manitoban. Apprentices are typically engaged for the duration of the creative process on the show to which they are assigned (Winter 2013 - Summer 2014). The time commitment varies depending on the nature of the apprenticeship.
In addition to a resume, applicants must provide a letter of recommendation, as well as a letter of intent indicating their career goals, and how this Apprenticeship Program would help to achieve those goals.
All apprentices are compensated with an honorarium.
