Ethno-cultural mandate or ethno-cultural casting statement:

We are seeking applications to audition for the role of Camae in The
Mountaintop by Katori Hall. The Character of Camae is a 25-35 year old
female and of African-American descent. Sides will be provided to those
applicants selected for an audition.

Additional information:

Storyline: An intimate and ultimately transforming conversation in Room
306 at the Lorraine Motel between Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and a young
hotel maid forces King to confront his destiny and his legacy to his
people.

The Mountaintop will be performed in the summer of 2014 in rep at the
Shaw Festival and then will be taken by Obsidian Theatre to Toronto for
a short run in the Fall of 2014.
