Additional information: Singing actors required to workshop a new musical in concert

A woman must decide whether to keep her lover or kick him out. She writes him a "Dear John" letter, but he returns before she can finish it. What to do?

We require one female and one male singer/actor to workshop a new musical theatre piece in concert September 8th in Toronto.

You must have a strong voice across a broad range, with an easy, 'popular' style. 
Engagement is a three-week workshop contract commencing Monday August 18th, 2014.
Rehearsal schedule is part-time Monday to Friday until September 5th followed by full time days on Saturday Sept. 6th and Sunday the 7th, with an invited concert Monday September 8th.

Audition Requirements:

Two contrasting short songs, at least one from the musical theatre repertoire. In addition, be prepared to sing some familiar tunes and read from the show itself.

Auditions will take place between April 28th and May 6th.

After winning awards and writing a short opera as a Master's thesis at York University, Andrew Hodge went on to complete a workshop in writing for the stage with Pacific Opera Victoria. His opera "Louise" had its premier in concert in Toronto in 2008. "Dear John" is his latest work.
