MEMBER ADVISORY - UPCOMING DUES CHANGES - MAY 1

EQUITY MEMBERS: Please be advised of the following changes to Equity's
basic and working dues, initiation fees and maximum cumulative basic
dues.

BASIC DUES:
Semi-annual basic dues payments will increase to $90 ($180 annually)
effective May 1, 2014. Basic dues invoices mailed to members will
reflect the increased rate. Members who have elected to pay basic dues
by automatic debit card deduction or credit card charge should
anticipate payment at the new basic dues rate.

WORKING DUES:
Working dues will increase to 2.25% (deducted at source) effective May
5, 2014 (deductions under the Alberta Ballet Agreement and the National
Ballet of Canada Agreement will be in effect as of May 4, 2014).

INITIATION FEES:
Equity's initiation fee will increase to $900 as of May 1, 2014.

MAXIMUM UNPAID DUES:
As of May 1, 2014 the maximum accumulation of unpaid dues and penalties
will increase to a total of $450 in accordance with bylaw 99(ii). The
new amount represents 50% of the initiation fee as of May 1, 2014. Now,
more than ever it pays to always keep current with your Equity dues.

PLEASE NOTE:
All agreements and contracts require that Equity members be in good
standing as a condition of engagement. Terms introduced in the 2012-2015
CTA require a Theatre to confirm an Artist's membership standing
directly with Equity prior to the start date of a CTA contract. If a
member is found to be not in good standing, the Theatre may withdraw a
contract offer without recourse by either the member or Equity.
