MEMBER ADVISORY - THE CANADIAN THEATRE AGREEMENT IS TO BE NEGOTIATED IN
2015

The Canadian Theatre Agreement (CTA) is set to expire June 28, 2015.
Negotiations between Equity and the Professional Association of Canadian
Theatres will commence February 2015.

All Equity members are encouraged to contribute to the review and
negotiation of the CTA. Please email any suggested proposals for change
or amendment to agreements at caea.com preferably no later than January 29,
2015.

Pre-negotiation discussions between Equity and PACT commenced November
2014. Some major topics under discussion include:
- Issues of cultural diversity in Canadian Theatre
- Artist accommodations when working out of town
- Touring issues (co-productions, remounts, local and run-outs)
- Company Category for touring productions

Questions regarding the review and negotiation of any of Equity's
agreements or engagement policies may be forwarded to
