EQUITY'S AGREEMENT NEGOTIATIONS AND ENGAGEMENT POLICIES UNDER REVIEW IN
2015

Each year, in compliance with policy requirements set by Equity's
Council, the Association must provide timely notice to the membership of
the upcoming development, negotiation, review, application and
enforcement of Equity's negotiated and promulgated scale agreements and
engagement policies. Equity members must also be afforded the
opportunity to contribute to the development, negotiation, review and
revision of these same agreements and policies.

A list of Equity's agreement negotiations and engagement policies taking
place in 2015 follows below. Equity members are encouraged to send their
suggestions for changes or improvement by the deadlines indicated to the
email address below. Alternately, members may email Executive Director
Arden R. Ryshpan directly with any notes or proposals at
execdir at caea.com.

*** AGREEMENT NEGOTIATIONS IN 2015***

Agreement: Canadian Theatre Agreement (CTA)
Expiry Date: June 28, 2015
Suggestion Deadline: January 26, 2015 (Note: new deadline)
Comments: Pre-negotiation discussions commenced November 2014,
negotiations begin late February.

Agreement: Banff Centre for the Arts Agreement (Note: 2014-2017
ratification underway)

Agreement: National Arts Center Music Department Agreement (Note:
2014-2018 ratification underway)

Agreement: National Capital Commission Events Agreement 
Expiry Date: August 31, 2014 (Note: negotiations have been delayed until
March of 2015 at the request of the National Capital Commission,
responsibility for which was recently transferred to the Department of
Canadian Heritage.)
Suggestion Deadline: February 1, 2015

Agreement: Stratford Shakespeare Festival Addendum to the CTA
Expiry Date: November 30, 2015
Suggestion Deadline: August 1, 2015
Comments: Negotiations commence TBA

*** ENGAGEMENT POLICIES UNDER REVIEW IN 2015 ***

Engagement Document: Canadian Dance Policy 
Review Date: September 6, 2015 
Suggestion Deadline: March 1st, 2015 

Engagement Document: Guest Artist Policy 
Review Date: September 6, 2015
Suggestion Deadline: March 1, 2015 (Note: the Guest Artist Policy will
be revised to incorporate the Canadian Dance Policy and a new policy for
independent opera engagements. Comments and suggestions for all three
disciplines are welcome.)

Engagement Document: Independent Theatre Agreement (ITA)
Review Date: June 28, 2015
Suggestion Deadline: TBA (Note: review of the ITA will commence after
the completion of CTA negotiations.)

Equity members are encouraged to contribute to the review and
negotiation of these agreements or the revision of these engagement
policies. Suggested proposals for change or amendment should be emailed
