The Artistic Producer is responsible for the artistic and financial
leadership of the organization. He/she will work with the Board and
staff and must be committed to fulfilling the mission and policies of
Theatre North West.
The ideal candidate will have:
*Experience in professional theatre.
*A passionate commitment to regional theatre and understanding of the
business of theatre production.
*Be equally competent in dealing with the artistic and business aspects
of professional theatre.
*Ability to provide inspirational leadership.
*Proven financial management/asset protection skills, experience working
within a balanced budget and maintaining a financially healthy theatre.
*Have the artistic judgment to assemble, guide, inspire artists to the
highest standard.
*Sustain the theatre's output of quality productions that have special
relevance for the region.
*Sustain excellent relations/communications with the audience and
community at large.
*Be eager to embrace the established successful programming model.
*Be experienced/skilled in working with funders.
*Believe that all Canadians deserve good art and take pride in leading a
theatre that serves rural Canada.
