Founded in 1992, Theatre Gargantua's productions meld daring physicality, striking designs, original vocal work and the innovative use of media and video technologies. The company devises all-original Canadian works in a two-year creation process we refer to as a Cycle. Our work is built from the ground up with the ensemble of artists and the production team. We have created award winning productions including e-DENTITY, Raging Dreams-into the visceral, Imprints, and most recently triple Dora nominated The Sacrifice Zone. We are beginning development of our 11th Cycle, currently titled Avaricious.

Gargantua has garnered dozens of accolades for categories including Outstanding Production, New Play, Direction, Music, Scenic and Lighting Designs, and has toured works provincially, nationally and internationally to critical acclaim.

Stage Managers interested in working with Theatre Gargantua should have a strong interest in contributing to the production of original, innovative theatre. 

Avaricious begins rehearsal September 15th, we are seeking to do PT hours for the first 4 weeks (20-25 hours/week) then full-time for the last 4 weeks. The first installment of Avaricious will have 8 public performances at Theatre Passe Muraille. The project closes Sunday November 9th.
