Shakespeare in the Ruins (SIR) is an artist-driven theatre company guided by the principle of Ensemble.  Each spring we stage a 9-actor, promenade-style production of one of Shakespeare's works in and around the ruins of the beautiful Trappist Monastery Provincial Heritage Park in St. Norbert, Manitoba.  We believe in non-traditional casting, environmental staging, and the development and growth of theatre artists in Manitoba.  Casting in our productions is wholly comprised of Manitoba artists, and members of our Artistic Ensemble have right of first refusal for all artistic roles for which they are qualified (except directing).

SIR is accepting submissions to direct our 2015 spring production of Antony and Cleopatra. We are looking for an experienced director with a clear concept that is original, innovative, consistent with our mandate and values, and relevant to today's world.
