Character Breakdown:
Adult Performer Roles
1. Peter Pan: (Male adult) Strong physical actor. Stage combat
experience is an asset. Acrobatics is an asset.
2. Wendy Darling: (Female, adult) Needs to be able to play young teen.
3. The Traveller: (Male 30+) Our narrator and guide through Neverland.
A representation of JM Barrie.
4. Sylvie Darling/Smee: (40+ Female) Sylvie is the children's mother.
Smee is Captain Hook's pirate side-kick.
5. John Darling: (Must play young pre-teen) Physical background.
Acrobatics or dance an asset. The youngest of the Darling children, John
takes the journey to Neverland with Wendy and Peter.
6. Jukes/Nana: (Male, adult) Strong physical performer with physical
training. Jukes is Captain Hook's most detestable and violent pirate.
Nana is the Darling family's pet dog who doubles as the children's
Nanny.
Young Adult Roles
7. Jack: (Young adult performer who can play an early teen. Any
ethnicity.) The leader of the Lost Boys.
Children's Roles (Lost Boys)
The Director will consider Female or Male performers for any of the kids
roles. The roles of Tootles and Slightly must play between 9 & 11 years
of age, Fife and Drum must play between 8 &10 years of age. All
children, please either Slightly sides or Tootles sides.
8. Tootles: (Male or Female. Any ethnicity. Must play between 9 & 11
years old.) One of the Lost Boys. Eager to please, and to lead one day.
Tootles shoots the Wendy-Bird from the sky when Tinkerbell says Peter
wants it so. Tootles does it reluctantly.
9. Slightly: (Male or Female. Any ethnicity. Must play between 9 & 11
years old.) One of the Lost Boys. Slightly prefers Wendy's tales of the
Woodcutter and his Wife over tales of Lancelot. Comfort and family over
risky adventure. He reveals to Wendy that the Lost Boys can die in
Neverland, usually at the hands of the pirates.
10. Fife: (Male 8-10. Any ethnicity) Musical ability a definite asset.
One of the youngest of the Lost Boys, Fife is Drums twin.
11. Drum: (Female 8-10. Any ethnicity). Musical ability a definite
asset. One of the youngest of the Lost Boys, Drum is Fife's twin.

No auditions in other cities are expected at this time.
Audition Details:
Actors auditioning will be required to:
*Read the play prior to auditioning (Scripts are available to read at
the MTYP's Box Office, 2 Forks Market Road, 9 am - 5 pm week days.)
*Prepare sides to read at the audition. For Fife and Drum, please
prepare the sides for either Tootles or Slightly. Sides will be
available by email and/or to pick up at the MTYP Box Office on Monday
May 5, 2014.
