Additional information:
YYPT will be producing an adaptation of To Kill A Mockingbird based on Harper Lee's novel about race relations in Depression-era Alabama. The show runs from October 5th to November 2nd, 2014. 

Artists of all cultural backgrounds and body types are strongly encouraged to submit resumes.  No e-mail submissions.

Please also note that the production will be hiring adult professional actors for all roles.

ROLES:

SCOUT
Nine year old girl.  Sister of Jem and daughter of Atticus Finch.  Smart for her age, loves to read, tomboy.     

JEM
Twelve year old boy.  Brother of Scout and son of Atticus Finch. 

DILL
Ten year old boy.  Jem and Scout's best friend.  He is only in town in the summertime when he visits his aunt.

TOM ROBINSON
A man in his 20's.  He is accused of a crime in this southern US town due to the colour of his skin.

HELEN ROBINSON
A woman in her 20's.  Mother of three, wife of Tom.

MAYELLA EWELL
A 19 year old woman.  Part of a poor family, she accuses Tom Robinson.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the audition.
