David Harrower's play BLACKBIRD confronts with the hottest of today's hot-button issues: Abuse. The playwright describes the piece, which focuses on a sexual relationship between a 40 year old man and a 12 year old girl, as "a love story."

Starring Sarah Booth and co-starring and directed by David Ferry.
Dec 3-11 at ArtSpace YoungSpace in Toronto.

Following the Dec 4 and Dec 9 performances there will be gender specific panel discussions for the audiences.

Dec 4th: moderated by Erika Ritter with Kelly Thornton and Dr. Catherine Classen as two of the panelists.

Dec 9th: moderated by Martin Julien. Panelists: Brendan Healey, Daniel Karasik, pedophile expert James Cantor and Disposito blogger Professor Holger Syme.

Special ticket prices for those two evenings will be $10, including 8 pm performance and post-performance discussion.
