Ethno-cultural mandate or ethno-cultural casting statement:

Urban Ink Production Society (Urban Ink Productions) ignites and
inspires revolutionary voices that transform our world. We collaborate
with artists and communities to push cultural boundaries through the
creation and production of innovative Indigenous and cross-cultural
performance works.

The objectives of the company are:
-to encourage and support the pursuit of artistic excellence in the
development of new aboriginal and diverse cultural works.
-to encourage and collaborate with emerging aboriginal artists and
artists of colour to develop work that speaks for cultural integrity and
a form that is self-reliant in its vision.

Additional information:

Urban Ink is casting a new project in development looking for 3
singer/actors available November 3rd-8th in Vancouver. Children of God
is a new musical by Corey Payette about an Oji-cree family whose
children were sent to residential school. We are looking to cast the
following roles: 

Brother Christopher - 40s Head priest, strong singer/actor
(Baritone/Tenor) Joanna - 18-35 be able to play a 14 year old Oji-cree
student, strong singer Vincent - 18-35 be able to play a 14 year old
Oji-cree student, strong singer

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
