2015-2016 EQUITY HONOURS AWARD NOMINATION DEADLINE IS SEPTEMBER 30

Equity's Honours committee needs your assistance.

It's time to APPLAUD your mentor; RECOGNIZE your teacher; PAY TRIBUTE TO
your community volunteers; THANK your inspiration; HONOUR individuals who
have made a difference in your career, your business, and your Association.

Worthy candidates live and work across all of Equity's regions and
disciplines. Your nomination will ensure that the Honours Committee knows of
all deserving candidates.

nominating someone from your community.

Equity's Council seeks nominations that are representative of the diverse
membership of the Association. Equity embraces diversity and inclusiveness,
and is committed to fairness, transparency and access. Council encourages
nominations of and by members of a visible minority group, Aboriginal
peoples, persons with a disability and women. The Honours Committee seeks
nominations and nominees from all communities within the membership.

The 2015-2016 Honours Award nomination deadline is September 30, 2015. A

The awards to be presented are:

* The CAEA Award of Distinction may be given to any organization,
individual, or group of individuals, excluding current staff, in recognition
of significant contribution within the realm of live performance benefiting
the Equity membership.

* Life Membership in Equity is awarded to members who have made outstanding
contributions to the performing arts within Equity's jurisdiction. This
award recognizes not only career achievement, but also colleagues who have
gone "above and beyond" in other ways that contribute to the benefit of
either Equity or its members.

* The Larry McCance Award is awarded to a member of Equity or Equity's staff
who has made an outstanding contribution to the Association and its members.

* Honorary Membership is awarded to a person who is ineligible to join the
Association and who has engaged in conspicuous effort, to the benefit of
Equity and its members, or generally within the performing arts.
