EQUITY COUNCIL ELECTION NOMINATIONS - DEADLINE IS AUGUST 31!

WANT TO HAVE A SAY IN YOUR ASSOCIATION? THIS IS YOUR OPPORTUNITY!

This fall, the Equity membership will elect Councillors for the 2015-2018
term - and Equity needs strong candidates in every region. You can help make
that happen.

Your choice of a Council is the most important Equity-related choice you
will be called upon to make. The decisions you make through this election
process will shape your professional association for the next three years.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR NOMINATION?
Regular and Life members of Equity in good standing, at least 18 years old
and resident in Canada, may run for elected office. Council encourages
members across all disciplines (performer, director, choreographer, fight
director, and stage management) to seek nomination for election.

HOW DO I GET NOMINATED?
Visit the nominations web page at

download the nomination brochure/form (link: http://bit.ly/1Nfxsd9 ) and
think about serving or consider who among your colleagues would be a good
representative, and approach him or her with an offer to nominate them as a
candidate.

REFLECTING DIVERSITY ON COUNCIL:
Equity is dedicated to the election of a Council that is representative of
the diverse membership of the Association. We actively invite and encourage
members from all demographics (particularly those who self-identify on the
basis of ability, age, ancestry, belief, ethnicity, gender, health or sexual
orientation) to seek nomination for election.
