Ethno-cultural mandate or ethno-cultural casting statement: 
Theatre under the Stars welcomes submissions from actors of all
ethno-cultural backgrounds. The intention of the audition process is to
showcase your talent in the best possible light, so that the creative
team can accurately assess your suitability as a member of the cast of
either show. Please keep in mind that there are many criteria to this
assessment. Ultimately the decision is subjective and rests solely with
the creative team.

SYNOPSIS
Music by Marc Shaiman, Lyrics by Marc Shaiman & Scott Wittman Book by
Mark O'Donnell & Thomas Meehan Based on the New Line Cinema film written
and directed by John Waters

It's 1962 in Baltimore, and the loveable plus-size teen Tracy Turnblad
has only one desire - to dance on the popular Corny Collins Show. When
her dream comes true, Tracy is transformed from social outcast to sudden
star. She must use her newfound power to dethrone the reigning Teen
Queen, win the affections of heartthrob Link Larkin, and integrate a TV
network, all without denting her 'do!
