Additional information: 
b current seeks a dedicated arts administration professional to work
with the Artistic Team (Artistic Director and Artistic Producer) to
support the smooth operations of this 24 year old company. Reporting to
the Board of Directors, the part-time General Manager will be
accountable for all operational functions, specifically legal, human
resources, and financial management and administration. This is a
one-year, renewable contract with approximate hours of 8-10 per week.

The primary responsibilities of this contract position are:

1) Supervision of all financial matters, transactions and reports
2) Working with the Artistic Team,  execution of business plans and
critical paths for each fiscal year
3) Working with the Artistic Team  to prepare grant applications for all
funding bodies
4) Management of all human resources policies, documentation, contracts,
records, including required filings and reporting  (e.g. payroll
deductions, Records of Employment, Employer Health tax, T4/T4As)
5) Act as liaison to Board of Directors regarding the business affairs
of b current and administrative support to the Board Recommending
6) Implementing procedural changes to improve the financial and
administrative health of the company
7) Office management including equipment, telephone and landlord liaison
