Little Death is a new play that will be presented for 12 performances as part of the Theatre Centre's Community Residency Project. Lyrical and spare, the play tells the story of a man who may or may not be dying and who frequents a hotel bar in search of sex and connection. It examines the ways in which his erotic search, in the face of his mortality, is also a spiritual search, and how it shakes his relationship with his wife, with whom he's in an open marriage that's begun to break down.

We are looking to cast the following roles:

Brit:       former dancer, now a dance teacher; exhausted, explosive; sensual, "in her body";
            married to Alex; 30s
Diane:      magazine exec; frank, confident, assertive, urban, Jewish; 30s
Liz:        successful film actress; small town girl, vulnerable, self-aware, lonely; early 20s
Claire:     maternal (and a mother), churchgoer, married and unfaithful, sexy, grounded; 40s
